MAETRIX has launched it's internet services division with a mission to connect rural Southern Oregon! Our first phase is to deploy local wireless services and once licensing and permits can be obtained we will begin to deploy fiber to the homes and businesses of Wolf Creek and expand until we cannot expand any more. Current locations of interest are Lower Wolf Creek Road, Coyote Creek Road, Bridge Lane and Frontage Road.
Several providers have made efforts to reach outlying areas but focus on more densely populated regions for better return on investment. Not us. We are from the rural communities of this beautiful state and we have aimed from the beginning to serve the places we call home. This division is funded entirely by our primary division MAETRIX Technologies which provides Information Technology solutions and consulting to businesses across Oregon.
We will not be able to reach these lofty goals without help from our community. Government regulation makes public access lands and utility easements expensive to develop. This can be curbed by working directly with landowners to host infrastructure.
Together we can end the disappointing experience of satellite, DSL and cellular internet as the only options. StarLink likely will not be the great solution it is advertised as. With reports of satellite swarms failing and being damaged accompanied with problems meeting bandwidth capacity demands, the future looks bleak for StarLink being the end-all be-all of internet services. Fiber-optic and fixed terrestrial wireless broadband is the way for the future of staying connected.
